Our "LAB" is made up of a full swing golf simulator with analytical tools. It has a 12 foot impact screen to hit real golf balls into. The analytical technology is a Flightscope Mevo+ Launch Monitor, which utilizes 3D Doppler Radar and Video Cameras called Fusion Tracking. Every golf shot is recorded with both technologies. Then after each shot, by the time the ball hits the floor the tech has synchronizes and analyzed your shot. The ball flight appears on the big screen as a continuation of your shot, and then all the data points appear. We can watch video of the different camera angles of your swing. The analytics are technical, but I will help you understand them. The result is that you learn what you are doing well and where improvements are needed.
- Together we will anwser "Why You ______. You fill in the blank (Slice, Hook, Go Right, Go Left, etc.)
- No more learning from randomly selected YouTube golf training videos or buying the latest golf gadget that works magic. It is not about what everyone should be doing. It's about your swing and what you need to do to improve.
The process is relatively simple. The Golf Simulator does the work, you just hit balls.
While in the Simluator the system continually tracks your movement. It identifies when you hit a ball and tracks the path of the club, the speed of the club, the club face (open/closed), the ball speed, how fast it spins, the axis of rotation, the trajectory angles, the carry distance, and the roll distance, and numerous more. Then just after you hit the ball into the impact screen, a simulation of your ball flight is graphically shown. Just like watching the ball on the course (only better as you cannot loose it), plus you get the swing data. After repeating this for a dozen or so balls, patterns will emerge and you begin to learn why the ball goes where it goes when you hit it. We will watch videos of your swing and take note of what the data showed us. I will help you understand the data and what it means to your swing, as well as show you in your videos. In a single session you will know where YOUR swing needs improvement. This starts you practicing either on your next round or at the range improving based on YOUR body rotation, YOUR flexibility, YOUR arm movement, YOUR wrists, YOUR club, and YOUR swing. Then practice to improve YOUR Swing.
The learning goal of the Simulator, is to help golfers improve, get them practicing where they need to, put them on a path of continous improvement. Making golf and practice more fun. We even play full 18-hole rounds of golf at world class golf courses that have been digitized for simulation use. Inclement weather will rarely be an issue as we are under a covered outdoor area. The Barter Lab is located in the Village of DeLuna close to the Waterlily Recreation Center.
ABOUT OUR SESSIONS
SWING ANALYSIS SESSION
The swing analyist will work with you to analyze your Driver Swing, your Fairway Woods Swing, your Iron Swing, all using the High Definition Golf Simulator while you hit Titleist ProV1 RCT golf balls. Come hang out with Ron / Deb and try our Simulator, be surprised how you next round of golf goes.
SHOT GROUPING SESSION
As you improve, the club selection process becomes more important. In this session you hit balls and see how far you Carry the ball. Hit some with each club and get a Report of the distance you carried the ball and rolled out to a total distance. Why learn your carry distances? Your 120 yrds to the green with a bunker you must clear. You need to know which club you carry 120+ yards. I doesn't matter how far you hit that club, you need to clear the bunker. The amount of roll will be different with wet and dry conditions.
A session that just has you hitting balls and getting the data feedback. Your know what you need to improve. So watch the data and see if what your doing is working. Validate your carry distances. Or, Just hang out and have fun. We can load up a game and have some fun while practicing The games include targets to shoot for at various distances. Play a few holes on a course in Hawaii.
Chipping is the place to cut strokes from your game. Load up a chipping range and practice hitting those targets on the simulator. The chipping swing uses the large muscles in your arms with little wrist action. Practicing this will reduce those extra strokes due to missed chips, not to mention will start to get you closer to the pin and making those shorter putts.
Here we will Post the top record holders for Mens & Ladies

ROUNDS OF GOLF
Playing golf on the Simulator at a world class golf course is for special occasions. It take about 4 hours, for a foursome to play 18-holes. Longer depending on how much time you spend looking at the analytics. The Golf Simulator looks and plays similar to being on the actual golf course - revolutionary image processing software combined with high resolution, satellite data and geophysical data produces a totally realistic 3D golf experience.
